Personal Settings
When you first receive a login to KIT, we recommend that you review all your personal settings to ensure all information and preferences are up to date. Personal Settings include:
- Your contact information
- Data export history
- Preferences on what information is displayed on contact profiles
- Notification settings
To update your Personal Settings, navigate to ‘Personal Settings’ by selecting the settings dropdown menu in the top-right corner of KIT.
Personal Profile
In your Personal Profile, you are able to update your personal details, password, and benchmark.
(1) Personal Information
By clicking on the bottom with three dots, you will be prompted to edit information including First & Last Name and email address. In this section, you will also have to option to upload a profile picture.
(2) Password
By clicking 'Edit' you can update the password used to log in to your personal KIT account.
(3) Benchmark
KIT's KPI's section consists of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are populated from your organization's data in the system. Each KPI has a 'benchmark' to support you in understanding where your measurements lie in relation to industry standards.
In the 'Benchmark' section of your personal 'Profile', you can specify the type of benchmark you prefer to use for comparison. The benchmark you choose will be applied to all KPI’s. ** Where a benchmark may be unavailable, the KPI will default to a KIT Smart Benchmark.
Fundraising Reports
Here you will see a list of all of your exported data files.
Badges
Badges are information icons that are displayed in contact profiles that give insight into the status of the contact based on various criteria.
Default Badges
When you navigate to the 'Bages' tab, you will see a list of KIT's default badges that can be toggled on and off depending on which information is useful for your organization.
You will also have a 'Status' (sub-categories) for certain badges that you can choose if you would like displayed. This will make the badge information displayed on the contact's profile more specific.
To find out more about the purpose and parameters for each of KIT's default badges, click directly on the badge icon and it will pull up information specific to that badge.
Custom Badges
In addition to KIT's default badges, you have the option to create Custom Badges that are derived from criteria that you specify. Once you create a Custom Badge, it will appear on contacts' profiles that meet the criteria specified for that badge. You will also have the ability to filter contacts under the 'Contact Insights' tab using the badge.
To create a Custom Badge, click on the 'Create Custom Badge' button in the top right-hand corner of the 'Badges' section.
You will be prompted with two options when creating a Custom Badge. These options allow you to specify which filter criteria the contact will need to meet to have this badge displayed on their profile.
(1) Copy Filters from Segment - This option allows you to copy filters from an existing Segment. For example, if you want to create a badge for contacts who donated $1,000+, and you already have a segment for this list, you can copy the same filters to create a badge.
(2) Create new filters - This option allows you to start from scratch and choose filters for your new badge.
Once you choose your filters you will be prompted to choose an icon and color that will be displayed on the contacts profile when they meet the specified filter criteria. As you are choosing your preferences, you can preview the badge in the top left of the edit screen.
